even though i have no money
i’ve been managing to cook homemade meals every night. last night my friend came over and we were waiting for my roommate to get home, so we decided to cook and tell him to get his ass home to eat. cajun salmon on top of rice, roasted asparagus, and corn. mmm. the night before that, i made black beans and rice, fucking delicious.

caitlynlwise-deactivated2011080 asked: well it kind of has a double meaning. my mom used to say it to me all the time when i was really little, because her dad was a navy man and used to say it to her. it's a navy saying meaning to be reliable and trustworthy even when it gets rough. and then I saw it in an episode of grey's anatomy, worked into this amazing speech, and between the two powerful meanings... whew. i had to.
